A case study of wind analysis of The Japan National Stadium was showcased in ArcNews, published by ESRI, a global leader in mapping and spatial analytics technology. This stadium is the main stadium of the world’s largest amateur sporting event currently holding in Tokyo, Japan.

In this article, you will find how our partner, Environmental GIS Laboratory Inc. collaborates with Research Institute for Applied Mechanics at Japan’s Kyushu University, used ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro and Airflow Analyst®, an add-in of ArcGIS Pro, to analyze wind conditions around the Stadium.

AW3D building data, the best satellite-based 3D building & vegetation vector data, had been utilized to build an optimal boundary condition to perform a simulation before construction is completed.
